@padraig - you can watch everything on BBC online. Google "expat shield" so you can connect to a UK server. It's free, works best in Chrome and gets decent reviews on CNet. I have been using for a few days now and I'm very happy with it.

So Proud of Gabby! 11 months ago

I'm so happy and proud of Gabby! What an amazing girl! She did well tonight! I know everyone has Wieber fever but dang can the girl enjoy her night tonight without haters filling the web! Jordyn and Gabby will make the US proud! Maybe we can go 1-2 again, like in 2008!!!

And to the Gabby haters: I don't recall you yelling foul when Jordyn stepped out of bounds on Friday! It goes both ways!

@Can't Believe... "Ebee" or whatever has little international experience and has just decided to peak. No idea how long this could last--she could fall apart at the olympics. Maroney, on the other hand, has been to (and rocked) a world championships. It would be a big gamble, indeed, to bring Price over Maroney. Not to mention, Maroney has a very real chance at winning vault gold and she did pretty awesome this weekend actually - besides bars, where they wouldnt use her anyway. If you ran the numbers, you'd see that Maroney's contribution to the team score will be much greater than Price on the events they'd be used for. Also, Price is a fantastic choice as an alternate because she can potentially replace 2-3 different athletes (not at the same time, of course), while Finnegan and Li have the potential to repalce only 1, mayyyyyybe 2.

Great team! Sorry ASac isn't an alternate -- mostly for her leadership presence. I hope she still goes to be a support for the team. And I'm so proud of Rebecca for coming back to do her beam routine.

What........Maroney? Should have been an alternate! Very poor performance!
Ebee was robbed!!!!!! She should have been picked over Kyla (she did beat her) and
why isn't Sacramone there? Ugh! Very distressed with usag women team people!

Wow, Gabby's FX score is quite generous. Failed turn and jump after last pass and still gets 9.3 execution score? I also feel she was overscored on beam. No denying she should be on the team, but I believe Jordyn was superior and deserved to be first. Quite a 1-2 punch though for USA gymnastics.

Just imagine what Nastia could of done if she started her comeback sooner.

An interview with Bill Strauss would be fantastic. He's so emotional.

Am I the only person who realized that Gabby Douglas wasn't wearing her number on vault the first day?

USAGymFan 11 months ago

Wieber, Raisman, Douglas and Ross will make the team. I'm not worried about Ross' fall on her Amanar. She won't be used in finals on floor or vault, but her beam and bars are outstanding.

The fifth member will be Maroney or Price, may the best girl win on Sunday!
I think Alicia and Anna Li could go as alternates. But so could the loser of the Price/Maroney duel.

Does anyone know of anywhere I can watch the trials and the Olympics for free, or will the entire trial be posted on this site at a later date. NBC wont let you watch the streaming unless you have a cable provider that has nbc.... Any help would be great

Gymnastics and Beauty pageants 11 months ago

What they have in common? They r both rigged. I just witnessed a beautiful beam routine by a sr with few wobbles but for some reason another one where a gymnast with touches the beam and wobbles several times gets almost half a point more in execution. Oh wait someone just told me if your initials are NL you can touch the beam once with no deduction and u get 4 mulligan wobbles. At least I understand the rational now. What a joke.

Double turn 11 months ago

JOrdyn and Gabby tied. The jumps connected to the tumbling passes look like one foot on a banana peel. Fact.

How about exchanging Afan Gold with Raisman in return of Komova's Silver with Wieber. FAIR GAME.

Uchimura went to the wrong pedestal for high bar medals. LMFAO. That was the cutest thing ever when he realized what he did. I love him. So. Much. He's adorable. Can we just give him every award ever? ALL the awards!
