USA Developmental Camp Recap

The latest Team USA Developmental Camp has concluded at the Ranch with Simone Banen of North Stars Gymnastics taking top honors in physical abilities testing.  The developmental camps are for emerging elites and are led by newly named Development Team Coordinator Valeri Liukin. Jordyn Wieber Honored with Nadia Comaneci Sportsmanship Award

The honors keep coming for Jordyn Wieber! On May 18 the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame (IGHOF) will present the World and Olympic Champion with the "Nadia Comaneci Sportsmanship Award". Well deserved.  The Nadia Comaneci Sportsmanship Award honors a currently competitive or recently retired gymnast from around the world who has demonstrated great sportsmanship or fair play. Aly Raisman Advances to Finals on DWTS!

          2012 Olympic Champion Aly Raisman and her partner Mark Ballas have advanced to the finals on "Dancing with the Stars"! "Team RaisNBall" as they're nicknamed will join three other celebrities in the finals: football player Jacoby Jones, actress Zendaya Coleman, and country singer Kellie Pickler.  Aly and Mark performed two dances during week nine. Tim McNeill Steps Down at Cal

Former U.S. National Team Member and NCAA Champion Tim McNeill will be stepping down as head coach of the Cal-Berkeley men's gymnastics program after three seasons. Shannon Welker is named Head Coach at Mizzou Former Michigan assistant coach, Shannon Welker has accepted the position of Head Women's Gymnastics Coach at Mizzou. Junior Olympic NIT Results

The Junior Olympic NIT was developed to allow an additional 192 athletes an opportunity to compete at the national level and features gymnasts who ranked eighth and ninth in the all-around in each of the eight age divisions at the Level 10 Regional Championships (provided they achieved a minimum all-around score of 34.00), plus any Regional individual event champions who did not qualify to the Junior Olympic Nationals or the Junior Olympic NIT in the all-around qualify for that event.
