John Geddert, personal coach to 2011 World Champion Jordyn Wieber, has been chosen by the women's selection committee to lead the USA women's team in competition at the 2012 London Olympic Games.  Jenny Zhang, coach of Kyla Ross, was named the team's assistant coach.

Geddert also served as head coach of Team USA at the 2011 World Championships where he led the team to a decisive victory in the team final.
