The first rankings for the 2012 NCAA Gymnastics season are out! Many teams around the country opened their season this past weekend. A few top teams like Utah, Arkansas, UCLA, Georgia, and Oklahoma have competed twice. Teams around the country seem to be peaking at just the right time and there were some huge scores posted this past weekend in men's NCAA gymnastics. The Oklahoma Sooners finished their regular season undefeated and exploded with a 366.40, the highest score yet to be posted this season. They have moved past Stanford for this week's #1 national ranking. The 2011 NCAA Gymnastics Regional assignments are out! Check out who is going where. The Regional meets will all take place on April 2nd and only the top 2 teams from each Region will advance on to the 2011 NCAA National Championships in Cleveland! For individuals, the top 2 all arounders from a non-qualifying team will advance to Nationals, and the event winners at each regional will advance to Nationals (in that event only) if they are not part of a qualifying team or an all around qualifier. With the conclusion of the Conference Championships, the NCAA Regular season is now complete! The gyminfo national rankings have been calculated, based on each team and individual's final Regional Qualifying Score (RQS). The top 36 ranked teams will qualify to the NCAA Regional Championships held at 6 separate sites. The 2011 women's college gymnastics season is winding down and national rankings are key. Coming up this weekend are the Conference Championships and the final opportunity for teams to improve upon their Regional Qualifying score as only the top 36 teams will qualify for the NCAA Regional Championships.  Florida had a bye week this past weekend and though Alabama is gaining on them in the national rankings, UF hangs on at the #1 position. This week's Troester.com GymInfo National rankings are out and Florida remains at #1. Alabama makes a move to #2 after posting a 197.075 and getting to drop a road score in the 195's.
