It was extremely classless of Courtney to even answer the question to the extent that she did. She attempted to be diplomatic with her "I don't really have a good opinion on it" and her ending "I wasn't there when she was training, so I can't really say all that much," but in between she entirely defeated the purpose of these statements. She implied Ivana was lying by downright saying “not at all” in response to whether she thought anything Ivana said was true, and then insulted Ivana further with her incredibly unnecessary "I saw things that I've never seen from another person." All this after openly acknowledging that Ivana helped finance her trip to the Olympics. Being in the media means knowing when to speak and how to say it. If Courtney genuinely feels that her coaches have been wronged, I understand. But even if Ivana had been a terrible person to her and the Fongs, the manner in which Courtney addresses the situation unfortunately makes her look like the foolish one. Under the guise of not really commenting, she offers insults while at the same time not giving the audience any reason to understand why- and ends up saying more about herself than she attempts to say about Ivana… regardless of what actually happened.

i think ivana's mom is overcontrolling.....one of those moms who just wants their kid to succeed more than anything else and will want her kid to go to stanford or something when they are 10 years old...ivana seems kind of like a poor sport with not making the olympics anyway....

Interesting. It's a fact that the Fong's did the exact same thing to Courtney that they did to Ivana (re hiding an injury). But it seems like Courtney was willing to do what it takes to be an Olympian where as Ivana was not either willing or capable (I am not saying that is right or wrong, but it's pretty much a fact that you have to be able to compete with an injury to be at that level). I think what Courtney really wanted to say was that Ivana is not a tough enough to be a champion.

HAHA... yeah ok... i believe that. That was so awkward. You can see there there is actually more then the story than what she is saying. The fact that in the previous interview she said her coaches didn't want her to go to Georgia, and she ended up in Georgia says something.
Personally i don't think that everything Ivana says is fully true, but from Al Fongs history, its not surprise.

but Courtney MADE the olympics and had a really good summer whereas ivana didn't, which makes you wonder if there was a turn for the worse at some point (although I do believe ivana prob stretched the truth)

That's good to hear. I was a little skeptical about what Ivana said, and i guess we'll never know what really happened, but I'm glad to hear something positive about them as coaches too.
