This workout was filmed June 23 with the elite group at Capital Gymnastics National Training Center in northern Virginia. Senior International Elite Brooke Parker prepares for the 2009 US Classic in hopes of qualifying to the US Championships for the 2nd year in a row. She went last year as a junior but hopes to make her senior debut at Championships this year. Good luck today, Brooke!

Brooke did not qualify. She needed a 54 AA and scored a 53.05
The qualifying score was lowered to 52.5 right after Classics, so Brooke made it.

Brooke did qualify to Visa Championships at the Cover Girl Classic, she competes Thursday and Saturday, 13 and 15 August. 15 August competition is live on NBC from 8-10 p.m.

to Kelly, the girl is learning a new release move on the bars.. so they push that red thing for safety just in case the girl goes to close to the bar, if she hits her feet on it, it wont hurt as bad.. its just a safety precaution :)
