In this week's gymnastics technique video, US National Team Coach Tammy Biggs shows a group of level 7 and 8 gymnasts the correct way to line up a back walkover for a connection on beam. It's all about squaring the hips!

They are really good! When ever I try a back walk over on beam, I fall on my head. :(

That was a good back walk over.

I thought she was rough but in a NICE way; I mean it's not like she was calling her gymnasts names or anything. I liked the video!

I thought she was rough too. I showed it to my daughter who is having some similar problems with her back walkovers too and she said are all American coaches so nasty. I'm glad she's not my coach.

The core and torso have to be in the correct place, she is right.

who was that at the end on beam....?

Tammy Biggs Rocks! This is something any girl beginning to do back walkovers on the beam or floor should see so they don't do about half a million reps the wrong way.

very good. Will have to try this. I think all my girls start with their feet turned out a bit
