Watched Courtney for all of her UGA career. Watched many great gymnasts come through UGA over the past 15 years. This girl was the best. Best gymnast. Great attitude. Great person. Such a joy.

Kupets was one of the great comeback stories of the 2004 Olympics, after that brutal Achilles tear. I don't know that she was nearly in the shape that she wanted to be, after only about a year to recover, and she still qualified for the All-Around. Without the injury, she likely contends for All-Around Gold. She always seemed to make the best of whatever cards she was dealt. Can't do much more than that.

Courtney seems like such a wonderful and positive person. :) She is an amazing gymnast and will always be remembered for her accomplishments. Good luck to her in whatever she decides to do after college, I think she would actually be a great coach!

Gymnastike, interviews like this are the pearls we, as coaches, hold on to. I have shown this video to my optionals and everyone could empathize with Courtney when she states she wanted to quit as a Level 6. Thank you for this interview and thank you, Courtney, for your honesty and example.

love her! soo sweet and humble. Competed against her some last year, with all of her accomplishments you would think it would affect her, but you would never know how great she was.. such a nice person!
