In this week's gymnastics workout video, we visited the newest gym in North Texas, Elite Champion Gymnastics. Since opening their doors in January of 09, they've already won the Level 4 North State Championship, Level 5 North State Championship, and had a Level 10 Regional Champion in Sarie Morrison who has accepted a scholarship to compete for LSU next season.

This workout was filmed on December 1st. ECG Head Coach Marcus Harlin is preparing his girls for the upcoming season, now just a few weeks away. The ECG girls will open their season this year at the Cancun Classic.

if a gymnasts is with a gym for 15 years that credit goes to the coahes.

Any coach worth his or her salt would tell you that the credit goes to the athlete. Resposibility of failure is accepted by the coach!

Still? Our girls are happy and we should be happy for that. Thanks to those who support our athletes and program. I agree, we need to focus on gymnastics and creating strong & confident young ladies. Nothing accomplished by negative talk. We wish the best for all gyms & gymnasts.

Amanda # 53.... she was already with Marcus when he brought his group of girls to Metroplex and started coaching there. When Marcus & Jana opened thier own gym, she along with several other gymnasts he brought with him to Metroplex follwed him again... along with several gymnasts that were only at Metroplex becuase of Marcus & Jana.

Oh, my.. TXCOACH and #60... get over yourselves and move on. Clearly, Sarie and all the other ECG girls are happier at ECG and are doing great gymnastics. Don't you have better things to do then worry about these young girls.... or not? ECG DOESN'T care what you think... they DO have more important(positive) things to focus on. Keep up the good work ladies & gentlemen - you are building a great team from Level 4-Elite.

I thought we were supposed to be talking about the gymnastics in the video? Can you all just shut up and talk about the gymnastics? It is wonderful gymnastics and they have an awesome program. Sarie Morrison left you for what? Oh yeah, an AWESOME gym. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it. Save yourself the humiliation. GREAT JOB GIRLS! Keep working hard!

I don't understand all the hate towards ECG? What is the big deal? Won't it just make the competition that much better? If there are more talented gymnasts in the area then everyone must compete at a higher level. I only see it as a good thiing.

I don't know if Marcus is y (I think that was the word txcoach looked for) or not.

I do think his response with his phone number was very straight up. Txcoach should take him up on it. Could only benefit Txcoach, really.
Again, super square and staunch, Marcus. Keep up the good work, with those great young ladies in the video.

Very cool! Shalom from the USA! I've been to Israel but have never been to a gym there. My husband competed there back in 1989 (I think that year) when he was on USA's National Team. Many blessings to you and your gym!

i go to ecg and i have been with marcus for 6 1/2 years and he is an amazing coach and a great friend, and also all the girls that once went to woga and came her, it was their choice to change gyms. people all think what you already think but at ECG everybody has thick skin and are tought very well. we all enjoy his coaching, it is great nice and perfect amount of strict and intensity and passion to get things where they need to go!!!!!!!! we all love our coach! :)

I agree with you completely about being respectful, but I don't think anyone has said anything bad about the gymnasts in the video. These girls look awesome, by the way! Clean lines and good skills

oh everyone shut up! you all are pathetic, seriously you cant possible judge someone from a 7 minute video. Honestly you people should be ashamed f yourselves. No i do not go to this gym, live in Texas, nor compete as a gymnast. You guys are crazed parents and coaches caught up in the sick gymnastics world. I hope you all know that the young girls in this video will be reading these comments. Out of all seriousness though, have some respect.

Enough about the coaches and girls changing gyms, it is usually because the coaches being treated badly by management. Been there done that.

Great video! I constantly hear how well the girls are doing from Lisa, but it is great to actually see how well everyone is doing and all the new skills they have learned. Congrats to the ECG, the coaches and especially to the girls! I look forward to seeing many great accomplishments from all of them this year! :)

I'm so very thankful for the circumstances that brought my daughter to this gym! Finally, at only 10 years old and 4 years in this demanding sport, she is proud of who she is and what she can do! What more could a parent ask for! Marcus and Jana are truly fantastic "life" models for my child! I'm grateful for all they have done to provide such a tough, loving, and encouraging environment for my child! Thank You, both!
