Uploaded by Anne From Gymnastike | December 9, 2009
This week's gymnastics workout video features the women's team from Eagle's Wings Athletics coached by Helen Verucchi and Alex Atamas. The team includes two aspiring elites and US Development Camp gymnasts, Jordan Stavrou and Sabrina Schwab. This is a typical Monday morning workout with Coach Helen which includes ballet training and beam routines.
The workout was filmed on November 30, just over 1 month away from the first meet of the season.

to # 37 By the time Gymnastike videotaped it ( October or November) Casey Dreyer didn't want to be part of it and was not in the good shape, that's why she didn't get mentioned, we all proud of her what she accomplished at the season 2010 |

Yes that is ture about Casey. But if you notice all the gymnast that finish well really don't have much on this site. Don't know what it is, but it is like alot of fluff for those who are barely getting by. |

It's a shame that casey dreyer didn't get mentioned, and I think she was actually the only one to make the lvl 10 jo nationals this year from this team.. |

Helens US Career Path: WOGA, UofG, Eagles Wings, DGC, Unattached, Zenith, Plano USA, and Eagles Wings (Current). I would have like to have seen an interview with their Male coach, Alex. He is apparently very good. |

I've noticed that too! I don't think she has had any new kids in more than a year, other than the ones she acquired when she moved to Eagle's Wings. I guess for her, it is quite a shame that Jordan is injured. |

Helen was actually at EW before, went to a gym that closed down (forgot name), went to Zenith but didn't last very long (who does at that gym), then went to Plano Unlimited, then when Titiana left EW to go to Zenith, most team followed a few stayed behind and some went to Woga.EW was left without woman coach and they hired Helen. And you know what, she might of been at Woga too. She has been everywhere. She is known to focus on only certain kids (especially Jordan), that is why she doesn't have a big team or a good following anymore. |

to # 25, 26, 27- Please, don't put commence like that What was stupid in the video? Nice work out. With so many clubs reducing or dropping ballet training, its nice to see some old school Russian barre work here. I think then more successful coaches are then more gyms want to invite them, better salary is the big factor in our days |

does anyone know why coaches move from gym to gym soo often? seems like helen been at a differentb gym every 1-2 year. these coaches are hard workers & very talented but is it the pay, benefits, direction of gym, conflicts with owners or what that makes them move all the ime? |

It's nice to see gymnasts working with a ballet bar and a coach who pays attention to the little detiails. The flexibility and toe point demonstrated were excellent. |

I agree with # 17, plus why nobody counts on the coaches, gymnasts prefer to be with the coaches they trust.... |

what makes some kids go to a less well-known gym such as this and others to a place like woga? Not saying that this place doesnt have great coaching, I'm just wondering when people decide to go to a place, it seems that you would choose a proven program with some of the best kids...thoughts?most parents don't consider the gym's successes when placing their child in a preschool program. most likely, these athletes started in a younger program at the gym, and chose to stick with the program that taught them what they know and brought them their success. A gym switch is a difficult choice. Some girls are not easily accepted at top notch gyms, but can work through the rankings at less-known gyms such as this. It really comes down to the environment that works best for the athlete. |

yeah their old coach tatiana left, which caused a lot of the girls to leave. and eagles wings is less expensive than woga, but they always put good gymnasts out on the competition floor. |

I heard one of the coach left and by the time they got another one, lots of kids left some to WOGA, some of them went with previous coach, some just quit, looks like they are happy now and rebuilding the program |

Did something happen at Eagles Wings? They used to have 20-30 talented girls in a very busy gym. Now it only looked like 5 very talented girls in the video? Did they have a change in management or coaches? |
