I just heard the news - she's an Olympic medallist now! 10 years later! Congrats, Elise. Must be an exciting day for all of them

Hey Homies :)
The toe-on tkatchev was named after Elise when she competed the skill in the event finals of the 1999 Worlds in Tianjin, China :) It's great to see her, again!

For clarification, yes, the toe-on Shaposh is a Maloney, as well as a toe-on healy - both of these were named after Maloney after the 1997 Worlds in Lausanne.

I loove her! She was my favorite growing up. So cool to hear about the beginning stage of the Ray and especially about the 2000 Championships vault! Thank you thank you for interviewing her!!

You can see the Ray that Elise is referring to in the interview in this video at about 10 seconds in...

Maybe a tad more clarification...I have two girls training/competing one each...a toe on shaposh is a Maloney, a toe on tkatchev (also called a reverse hect) is called a Ray as she has explained after herself, Elise Ray. Love the interview, so nice to have expert commentary for the Big Ten Network!

she's talking about the toe on reverse hecht.

... wait... I'm confused. I thought a shaposh from a toe-shoot was a Maloney?

Aw, she's so sweet! I never really cared for her when she was competing, because I never really saw her personality, but she seems like a really cool person.
