@USA_Gymnast Why put Sacramone on floor over Vega? Vega is much more consistent than Sacramone & Maroney... I say Vega, Raisman, and Wieber should be our floor girls for TF.

Yeah, the only requirements that her 3rd pass would meet are the 2 saltos connected requirement or the double salto one, but her 2nd and 4th passes cover those. That 3rd pass really is unnecessary. It doesn't give her anything more than an E pass (dbl arabian) or a D + a leap would, expect probably more deductions.

@nik/mary... haha yea i was fixing to say. front tumbling in the second pass that she sat down... but she is usually pretty solid on that.

Damn that 3.5 is solid. Landing a little crazy but she spins so fast. Anyone else think she could definitely throw a quad in time?

@Mary Sorry but her third pass (BACK layout 1 1/2 through to a double BACK tuck) has nothing to do with front tumbling......

Without her third pass, she would lose .5 in front tumbling requirement.

If she ditches the third pass doesn't she lose a requirement. That pass has a front and back salto.

Yeah, I definitely agree that she needs to ditch that 3rd pass and replace it with the double arabian (or her old full in). It is chock full of deductions, and she would lose nothing in D score by doing the double arabian in place of it. It just seems like she could have much better composition in this routine. I seriously doubt anything will be changed at this point, so I hope she improves on it in the competition and hits. I really like Maroney, and I want her to do well, so she is set up nicely for 2012.

@agags I agree that taking out double arabian and replacing it with double pike is a good choice. I also think it might make sense for her to swap the third pass (1.5 to double tuck) for regular double arabian. I have yet to see McKayla do that pass without the double back looking cowboyed and low. Hopefully she performs more solidly and can be our lead off girl in TF on floor! Her routine will score better than Alicia's IMO.

i think its smart if she dose the double pike for Prelims, Team Finals, and the Allaround if she makes it, and dose the Arabain in the Floor Final if she make it wich im sure she will.

At first i though she would have been a lock for doing FX in the TF, but i have yet to see her hit a good clean solid set, so i would not be surprised to see sacramone take her place
