Oh, so many types. Sorry.

Some words were omitted by the system. You can probably guess what they were.
At the end, I meant coaches bullying and berating their athletes.

24:35. What an ! Jesus, WHY would you tell a group of teenagers that they are not beautiful? And WHY would you say "you want me to tell you you're as good as the chinese? well, you're not. i can guarantee you that you won't medal at the olympics."

I know his style of communicating is partially cultural and partially generational, but how is ot possible that someone with this confrontational and tactless manner of communicating is permitted to work with children and youth?!
Buddy, if you know they know they're not as good as the Chinese, WHY TELL THEM? What purpose does it serve, other than possibly making them feel like about themselves?
Here's the thing. That kind of encouragement only works on some athletes, and exposes the others to great mental/emotional stress/risk. It's just not worth it. There is a way to motivate and push athletes without creating a depressing and stressful environment. I would think the elite scene would be stressful enough as it is, without athletes berating and bullying their athletes. (The bullying comment is general to other coaches and Amanda's comments in part 2 or 3).
C'mon, people.

The most perfect piece of television I have ever seen!
Good old BBC. They know how to make a film.
Bit embarrassed to admit... I cried more than once. So sad for those who weren't selected.
I take my hat off to all gymnasts everywhere...
