Alexandra Raisman led Team USA to the team gold medal here in Tokyo, but today she finally won her first individual World medal. She was 4th in the 2011 All Around final, and 4th place in today's beam final. Floor was her last opportunity and she hit her routine with big tumbling including a 1.5 twist through to double arabian, punch front to score a 15.00 which was good enough for Bronze. Ksenia Afanaseva of Russia won the gold, and Sui Lu of China took the silver.

I really like her and seeing a more normal side of her rather than the stoic persona she has on the podium. I still wish she would just relax, she seems so uptight in a way. |
