David Sender is back! After closing out his gymnastics career at the 2009 Visa Championships, Sender began veterinary school at the University of Illinois. He's since had a change of heart and has decided to take a year off of school to train for the 2012 Olympic Games. Sender competed January 14th in the Windy City Invite which is his first competition since 2009. He talks about what brought him back to the sport, how his training is going with coach Justin Spring, and his first competition in years.

Sooooo excited to see David back!! I thought his retirement in 2009 was so abrupt and so unfortunate for the US because he was so talented, and would have done well at worlds that year. Can't wait to see him compete some more this year. :)
