This week's Workout Wednesday video features 2011 World Champion, 2012 USA National Team Member and Olympic team hopeful Anna Li of Legacy Elite Gymnastics in Illinois. Anna is coming off the 2012 Visa Championships where she placed 3rd on uneven bars, posting the highest start value of 6.90. Anna was selected to compete for a spot on the 2012 Olympic Team at the Olympic Trials in San Jose June 28-July 1.

I love her! Such an inspiration and a great role model. I hope more collegiate gymnasts take note of her "comeback" and follow in her footsteps and realize your career doesn't have to be over after NCAA. She's amazing and I'm really pulling for her to make this team. I do hope she continues on to compete for another couple of years.

@Jason, you're so welcome! REALLY cool that you have known Anna so long. I was lucky enough to see her compete every home meet during her senior year at UCLA, and then I got to bump into her this year at a home meet and get a picture.

Thanks for doing such great work, I LOVE Gymnastike!

@ megan, thanks for the comment. we would love to do WW with Maroney or Ross and maybe someday if they both stick around we will be able to do that.
I have known Anna for a long time and Legacy Elite is only 35 minutes from my house.

You couldn't have picked better music for this, IMO. Epic, just like Anna!

I have to disagree a bit with AC before me... I think it's great that Anna has some die-hard supporters who love her style of gymnastics, including the Gymnastike staff. I will agree that I'd love to see WWs from some of the other major gymnasts, though. Maroney or Ross - great idea!
I'll be at Trials and I can't wait to see all these gymnasts, including Anna!!

OMG! I love Anna. She is like America's Beth Tweedle. I hope she stays around until after the Olympics
