Doesnt matter if she hits in practice. Bross hits all her Pattersons in practice too

@Dre--- how much of an idiot are you? I wouldn't call being chucked by your dad and barely pulling the dismount around a hit? would you? just wait and see what she does without him.....scary......

Dre 11 months ago

NBCOlympics.com has a video of her doing the full routine. And, ehem, she hit. Stick to your plan Nastia! You Rock!

Lianna 11 months ago

@Anonymous Coward- Even if she hits the routine perfectly this meet, it doesn't matter. I don't think in a 3 up situation you can risk it when she has been so inconsistent recently. She hasn't put together a full set yet. I agree with you, you can't take that to the Olympics. She didn't give herself enough time. BTW I was a gymnast- international elite at Hills in Gaithersburg, and 4 years in college on scholarship. My previous point was that if Nastia HITS a routine, she is undoubtedly one of the best bar workers in the world. We haven't seen that Nastia fully back yet. She still has the same great lines and swing, but the endurance to get through is obviously not there yet.

Anonymous Coward 11 months ago

none of these comments matter the fact is still NO DISMOUNT IN A ROUTINE!! Sorry but I would not be taking that to the olympic games....a fall is a point!! no way Nastia! we'll see what she does in the meet......

Anonymous Coward 11 months ago

Clearly some of you commenters are NOT gymnast......... Just saying :)

Lianna 11 months ago

No doubt Nastia is one of the best bar workers in the world when she hits. The problem is even if she hits in trials, can you risk her going up in a 3 up 3 hit situation when she has been so inconsistent?

JV 11 months ago

wtf are you talking about. he wasnt even spotting that much. kyla ross' coach spotted her even more then valeri did to nastia. stop hating. not my problem shawn sucked and didnt have a chance at making it.

AC 11 months ago

You want to see a coach "barely touch"ing an athlete? Look at Bross' PT video. That's what podium training should look like at the Olympic Trials; the girls need to be totally confident and ready to go. Nastia looks better than she did at Nationals, but that's not saying much. She waited too long to start training.

Brian Dyess 11 months ago

@AC I barely saw him touch her at all. Otherwise, very big improvement from the nationals disaster. Good job Nastia. Can she hit this plus her dismount when it counts? We'll have to wait and see.

AC 11 months ago

The fact that Valeri practically had to catch her Pak and throw her into the dismount doesn't bode well.

Gym4Life 11 months ago

That is a huge improvement from nationals. The piroutte's are actually in handstand and the legs are better kept together on the gienger. The pak also looks much smoother. Now can she hit the dismount at the end of the set is the million dollar question??
