2008 Olympic Champion gave it her all in her comeback attempt in 2012 and fell short of making what would be her second Olympic Team. However, she still feels her career ended on a high note.

love you nastia

What a classy young lady. People were sick of Nastia beating around the bush for over a year about whether or not she would come back to elite competition. I can understand that, but once she announced her comeback, people constantly found things to complain about. "She's not at camp" "She made the announcement at worlds" "She's being spotted by her dad on every skill." Despite everyone's annoyance at her apparent lack of seriousness, everyone was excited about Nastia coming back. She's one of the all-time greats, and no one can forget that. Granted, she didn't exactly do her best bar routines, but she still performed with style and capped off an incredible career with a fantastics beam routine. There's a reason she's an Olympic All Around champion: she can deal with pressure and she has drive. Though she started late with her comeback, she kept going and didn't give up. I wish her the best with whatever she decides to do in life.

I have to admit I was one of the people getting sick of seeing and hearing her all the time, but after she got up and finished her bar routine and then went on to compete beam, I have a newfound respect for her.

CLASS. She's always had the drive to win, and more importantly the fight to finish - which we were privileged to see yet again tonight. She is a legend already at 22 and I wish her well in anything she chooses to pursue in the future.
