Admire these girls who "have gone Pro" as amazing gymnasts but.................if you follow most of them on Twitter, FB etc-they spend an awful lot of time tooting their own horns, what ever happen to humble? Daily Aly, Jordan and McKayla are posting pics of themselves, things they have done, etc. Enough!!!!!!! People who want to know these things will find them, stop throwing yourselves in every ones face! Oh yeah, good luck! |

To answer your question, officially "going pro" in any sport in the eyes of the NCAA means, yes, accepting endorsement deals/receiving payment/prize money of any kind (aside, of course, from the training money & benefits that they get from USAG for being on the national team). There isn't a professional circuit in gymnastics as many of the meets (world cup events, etc) already offer prize money but they also have amateur athletes who compete & just decline it if they make the podium. Also accepting the money that comes from participation in things like the post-Olympic gymnastics tours is another example. |

I love the arabian double punch front layout combo, would be amazing if she could do that combintaion out of the 1.5 twist still! and the arabain double pike punch front tuck is awesome too. Such amazing upgrades on floor from her! I hope she gets the 2.5TY on vault and nice to see the aerial cartweheel, switch leap back tuck combo back on beam. She did that at The AM Cup last year but then got rid of it later in the year, it's a pretty neat combintaion. Best of luck to her!! |
