After Gabby Douglas' breakout performance at the 2012 American Cup in New York where she posted the meet's top all around score, USA National Team Coordinator Martha Karolyi explains how important this meet was for Douglas in the lead up to the Olympic Games. She also shares how she gave Gabby Douglas the nickname "The Flying Squirrel".

I hope her husband is eating his words now. He said in the New York Times that Jordyn Wieber would be "unbeatable" at the Olympics and that she's "solid like a rock" while Gabby was "still too inexperienced to stay calm enough to win the Olympic all-around" and a "flame that can shine and glow but can fade out.” What a fool Bela is. That man should keep his mouth shut and let his more sensible wife do all the talking.
