Pre-Olympic Workout Wednesday with Jordyn Wieber and Twistars USA
2012 USA Olympian and reigning World Champion Jordyn Wieber makes one final appearance in Gymnastike's Workout Wednesday before taking on the world with Team USA in London. Wieber is the defending U.S. and World all around Champion and will be one of the favorites for the elusive Olympic all around gold medal. Coach John Geddert has been selected as Head Coach of Team USA in London after leading the young American team to decisive victory at the 2011 World Championships. The U.S. team of Wieber, Aly Raisman, Gabby Douglas, McKayla Maroney, and Kyla Ross are the favorites for the team gold medal. The Americans have not won an Olympic Team title since the Magnificent Seven captured the gold in 1996. Also appearing in the video is fellow elite Casey Jo Magee who traveled to Twistars for a training session. Wieber is training alongside the dominant Gedderts' Twistars USA level 10 team, including Grace Williams, fresh off her second J.O. National all around title, former junio elite Kami Moore who persevered through hip surgery for a phenomenal season, landing a spot on the 2012 J.O. National Team, and 2011 J.O. National Champion Bayle Pickel.

World Championships Workout: Team Russia
This week's gymnastics workout video features the 2011 World silver medalists and 2010 World Champions, Team Russia. Gymnastike takes you inside their training session in Tokyo, just 24 hours before the 2011 World Championships Team Final where the finished 2nd behind Team USA. The Russians had a successful World Championships but were not totally satisfied with how they fared in Tokyo. First year senior Viktoria Komova led the team with high start values and beautiful artistry but fell just short of the all around gold, finishing less than a tenth behind Jordyn Wieber for the silver. Komova went on to dominate the uneven bars final, her best event, and claimed the World title with teammate Tatiana Nabieva winning the silver. The fifth and final medal won by the Russians in Tokyo was a gold medal on floor for team veteran Ksenia Afanasyeva. World Championships Workout: China
This week's gymnastics workout video takes us back to the training halls in Tokyo at the 2011 World Championships. Watch how the defending Olympic Champions prepare for a competition. This workout was filmed on October 10, the day before the 2011 women's World Team Final. The Chinese team made a few errors and settled for the team bronze medal for the second year in a row. Later in the week, Yao Jinnan won the all around bronze medal, and Sui Lu was crowned 2011 Balance beam World Champion. 2009 Championships Workout with Jake Dalton and Alex Naddour
**3 Years after this workout was filmed, Jake Dalton was named to the 2012 USA Olympic Team and Alex Naddour was named Olympic team alternate! Both guys were on the 2011 World Championships bronze medal team. Take a look back at the training they put years ago, before becoming the best among the best in the world.*** This workout was filmed July 15, 2009 at USA Youth Fitness Center in Gilbert Arizona, and features the country's top two J.O. gymnasts. Alex Naddour of Arizona Flairs was the 2009 Level 10 J.O. National Champion in the all-around as well as on pommel horse. Jake Dalton of Gym Nevada finished 2nd all-around behind Alex and won individual titles on floor, vault, and high bar. Dalton was in town training with the AZ guys during the summer. This fall, the two will join Anthony Naddour, also in the video, at the University of Oklahoma. But before they begin their collegiate careers, Alex and Jake will represent their club teams one last time in the senior division of the 2009 USA National Championships in Dallas where they hope to make the senior team, and possibly the World Championships team.

2008 US Olympian Bridget Sloan ready to make a run for her 2nd Olympic Team
2008 Olympian and 2009 World Champion Bridget Sloan talked to Gymnastike at the 2012 Region 5 Championships about her progress leading into the Olympic qualification process. She talks about going through this process for the second time and how that will be an advantage to her, especially without having many competition opportunities over the last few years. The upcoming Classic meet will be her first competition since last summer's Pan American Games and she plans to pace herself as she gets ready for the Olympic Trials and hopefully her second Olympic Games.

Huang Qiushuang training amanar vault
Huang Qiushuang, member of the 2012 Chinese Olympic team, looks to be upgrading her vault to an amanar (2.5 twisting yurchenko). Team China did not have a single amanar vault at last year's World Championships, and lost valuable points to the US on the single event. 2012 U.S. Olympic Alternate Elizabeth Price of Parkettes had a breakout season in 2012, finishing 5th all around at Visa Championships in her first year senior. Price then improved to 4th all around at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials and was named one of the alternates for Team USA which went on to win gold in London. Elizabeth "Ebee" Price reflects on her London experience. Price is currently recovering from a hip injury and preparing for this summer's U.S. Championships and hopefully a place on the 2013 USA World Team.

Olympic Track Champion Sanya Richards-Ross Stands Up for Olympic Athletes Rights against Rule 40
The International Olympic Committee's Rule 40 says that Olympic athletes can't promote any brands that aren't permitted by the IOC or a national Olympic committee during the span of the Olympic Games, or post tweets promoting said companies.
