SEMO junior Taylor Westrick punched her ticket to the NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championship after tying her career-best with a 9.900 on balance beam at the NCAA Champaign Gymnastics Regional. That score tied her with Illinois' Alina Weinstein, Oklahoma's Megan Ferguson and Stanford's Amanda Spinner for the event title.

The bar for advancing to nationals as an individual is extremely high. Event specialists need to finish in first place to move on to nationals as an individual if they are not a member of a qualifying team.

This will be Westrick's first trip to the NCAA National Championships. As a club gymnast, she trained at Salto Gymnastics Club in Wisconsin.
