http://www.gymnastike.org/rss/speaker/3922-Nilson-Savage Nilson is a native of Brazil and has coached at many top gyms in Brazil, including Rio de Janeiro’s top club, Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, where he helped guide 10 gymnasts to the national team and one to the 1988 Seoul Olympics. He left Brazil in 1988 and spent six months in the former Soviet Union, studying technique and strategy with the world’s top coaches. When he came to the US, he spent time coaching with Bela Karolyi, and eventually move into collegiate coaching.
