Daniel Purvis is a 2012 Olympian representing Great Britain. His major successes came at the 2010 World Championships, where he earned a bronze medal on floor exercise and then at the 2011 Worlds, where he placed fourth all-around.
In 2012, Purvis won his third-straight all-around title at the British Championships, and will lead his team into its home Olympics in London, where he has a strong chance to win medals on floor exercise and in the all-around final.
Earlier in the year, Daniel won the all-around at the London Test Event, helping to qualify a full British men's team to the 2012 Olympics. Purvis also won gold on floor exercise at that competition.
Daniel led the British men to team gold at the 2012 European Championships, and was also a member of successful teams at the Europeans in 2011 (bronze) and 2010 (silver).
At the 2010 Europeans, Daniel took bronze on floor exercise, and won another bronze medal in the all-around the following year in Berlin.
