any gymnast (level 10 or elite) can qualify to the Nastia Liukin cup as long as they are not on their country's national team.

At that time it was explained that the meet would be for Level 10 gymnasts
Maybe they changed ...

Nastia Liukin Cup confusion
So what’s the confusion?
Selected from the first weekend in Covington, Ky were:
Lexie Preissman (Elite)
Amelia Hundley (Elite)
Those girls aren’t Level 10.
Not goodfor normal lelel 10 girls

Sounds like a good idea to use her noteriety and funnel it into lower level gym.

Echo the concern below that if she is still competing, that I am suspect of the judging. Gym has a well known history of score cheating and I am not sure the sport is completely clean yet.

Is it an event specialist or strictly all around?

Is this for level 10 gymnasts only?
Yes, just for level 10 girls. I think it's going to be a great experience for the JO girls to get to compete on podium in a meet like this

and exactly how did Nastia act to Shawn? Nastia is a great ambassador for her sport and for this organisation which is why they are backing her 100% and have already moved on from Johnson despite the fact that she has garnered more celebrity from her DWTS appearance after Beijing. USAG knows what is real and what's not.

Shawn got beaten fair and square in Beijing. I wish her rabid fans would move on with life and start supporting her wannabe Disney starlet aspirations. She doesn't care about the sport anymore. Until she gets back into the sport, she has no place being discussed in this forum. I am sure Disney or Mitchel Musso have a forum with threads dedicated to her cute smile. Move on over there please.
According to inside (and not so inside) sources from last summer, Liukin was far from the problem on the Olympic Team and everyone from her teammates, national team staff and even the NBC crew were more than delighted to see her win that title over Johnson.

With the way Nastia acted against Shawn she is no ambassador for the sport.

USA-gymnastics should not be in business with a gymnast competing at one of their events.

Judging is already suspect especially at Nationals with Nastia but now the sport has no integrity at all getting us business with an employee.

USAG couldn't dream up a better ambassador for the sport. Nastia's EPIC.

Ugh! Could she be ANY more awesome?

Nastia is so super cool. She is like the Brett Favre, Joe Dimaggio, or Kobe Bryant of gymnastics. Her accomplishments are bordering on legendary. I mean Olympic champion, 5 olympic medals, 9 world medals and counting. 2 time AA national champion. Now she has her own competition and she is still just a teenager. Ben Schwartz has it correct she is a dream come true. LOL
