The Region 5 Insider would like to congratulate our college senior alumni on their contributions to our region and their respective universities. Our regions athletes as some of the best people as well as gymnasts in the country. Though Region 5 has many graduating senior alums this season, here is a tribute to those competing in this years NCAA Championships.

Congrats and good luck to Elizabeth Mahlich (Twistars, Florida), Kaelie Baer DeVeaus, UCLA), Nicole Ellis (Arena, Florida), Gina Nuccio (Arena, Georgia), Stephanine Mcallister (Wrights, Utah), Ashley Priess (Cincinnati/Midwest, Alabama)

Trained under Dan and Beth Miller at Arena Gymnastics and won the all around at JO Nationals in 2008 and 2006. She also was crowned vault and bars champion at Nationals in 2007 and was twice named Region 5 JO Athlete of the Year in 2006 and 2007. Gina was also a member of the 2007 Region 5 All-Star team and is now a member of the University of Georgia Gym Dogs.
