Yao Jinnan is a member of the Chinese National team and a 2012 Olympian for China. She won the all around bronze medal at the 2011 World Championships in Tokyo, and will factor in to the all around battle once again in London, as the top Chinese gymnast.
Yao Jinnan is also a medal contender with the Chinese team, who are the defending Olympic champions from Beijing. Her difficulty scores on bars (6.8) and beam (6.4) make her one to watch on those two events. She won the silver medal on beam at the 2011 World Championships, as well as a bronze medal with her team.
She was an integral member of the 2011 Chinese Worlds team, competing on all four events in the team final. It is likely that she will repeat that feat in London.
At the 2012 Zibo World Cup, Yao Jinnan captured gold on both bars and balance beam, and in 2011 at the Cottbus Cup, she won three gold medals on bars, beam and floor exercise.
