Workout Wednesday video of the year goes to our pre-US Championships feature with the elite team at Texas Dreams Gymnastics. Coaches Chris Burdette and Kim Zmeskal-Burdette had 6 gymnasts representing the Dream Team in Hartford at the 2010 US Championships. Their 5 junior elite qualifiers were: Kennedy Baker, Dare Maxwell, Claire Boyce, Ashton Kim, and Peyton Ernst (Kiana Winston qualified but couldn't compete due to injury). Their lone senior elite, Chelsea Davis was on the verge of making a huge comeback after battling through numerous serious injuries and impressing the National Team staff by tying for 5th place All Around at Championships, her first major national competition since the 2008 Olympic Trials. After this, Chelsea was named to the 2010 USA World Championships team, earned her place in the bars and floor lineup, but an untimely injury sidelined her just before competition began. Take a look back at how coaches Chris Burdette and his wife, former World Champion and Olympian Kim Zmeskal-Burdette, prepared her athletes for US Nationals, a meet Kim won numerous times.
