This is all the more moving to watch after the PB final. Good for them - great team.

I used to compete at Universal Gymanstics with Danell and Yin used to be our coach. First, Yin is one of the most positive, dedicated, and helpful people I have ever met. Due to all of his great qualities and personal traits, he has had a significantly positive influence on my life. And at the same time, Danell is an amazing competitor who until this day, withholds a strength and dedication that no one can take from him. Spending years training with Danell's dedication and ability and Yin's knowledge and guidance, I KNOW that they are a father/son combination that will both earn the opportunity to witness Danell win the Olympic gold medal. Im positive.

wow...all coaches should have this attitude! I love the positivity, gymnastics is such a tough sport, you get one shot and the smallest bit off can be disastrous so to have a coach with this attitude and judgement is delightful to see. wish they were all this way, after all each gymnast is trying to do their best, it just doesn't always work out. Ali should hear this!

It seems like he has a great perspective on things. Danell is only 19... Making mistakes here is just a learning experience that you can grow from.
