The White House welcomed the Olympians and Paralympians home on September 14, 2012. As part of the event, Olympic and Paralympic flagbearers, US Navy Lt. Brad Snyder, a Paralympic swimmer who won two golds and a silver in London, and 3-time Olympic fencer, Mariel Zagunis, presented the Olympic and Paralympic flag to the President.

Among the athletes present, gymnast Sam Mikulak was in attendance, representing Team USA.
