Rachel Spicer was the 2010 JO National Champion for the junior C division. She talks about training at this weekend's Region 3 College Bound training camp and working with new Texas Dreams coach Tiffany Tolnay. Tiffany was also a level 10 Champion at Texas Dreams and went on to win 4 NCAA titles at Georgia.

don't you hate it, there is no loyalty to coaches, no respect, 2 gyms are nothing, I know kids changing gyms 7-10 times...I always say no to that kind of family...don't want to be number 11
well since spice followed her coaches to metroplex, i wouldn't say there's no loyalty to coaches...

Texas is the gym-hoppers dream, your not a good texas gymnast unless you've been to at least 2 different gyms

The only remaining Level 10 competitors left at Texas Dreams from the 2010 Large Team Texas State Champion team include Lomincia Hall, Alex Fuselier and Gina Pitts. Gina trains with Kim and Chris. I guess Alex and Mince will continue to train with the new coaches. Most of the others have decided to follow Marnie and Gina to Metroplex. Can't wait for 2011 Level 9/10 State. I believe it is being hosted by Texas Dreams.

I do not know which gymnast(s) have or have not left Texas Dreams, but it is confirmed that Marnie and Gina are at Metroplex now. See my blog here on gymnastike: http://www.gymnastike.org/blogs/blogger/Egym/13419-exciting-news-in-usa-gymnastics.

Also, if you follow the link on my blog, you will see that Metroplex is offering a discount to new competitive gymnasts, and given that a lot of Rachel's success has come under the coaching of these two, it does not surprise me that she may have moved. BUT this is not confirmed!

So did all the TD lvl 10's leave? or is Mince still there?

No..... She has left Texas Dreams, since this interview!!

I think everyone is trying to explain that Gina and Marnie are coaches at Metroplex now...Rachel Spicer is still at Texas Dreams but Tiffany Tolnay is now coaching her and has joined the Texas Dreams Coaching Staff. Loved Tiffany Tolnay at Georgia, fabulous gymnast, great asset to Texas Dreams where she spent her club career. Good luck to all!
That makes perfect sense now, Thank you!

WHAT? I"m so confused. Then why is she talking about working with Tolnay as her new coach and saying that she has been at tx dreams for 9 years. Doesn't say that she switched!

Anonymous Coward 3 years ago

both are in Metroplex now

Sarah 3 years ago

Wait Spicer switched gyms or are you talking about the coach?

Sarah 3 years ago

She is not longer at Texas Dream-welcome to Metroplex!
is that where Marnie switched to?
