Daria is a junior at the University of Utah and was a member of the 2008 German Olympic team in Beijing. She performed all four events in team preliminaries and was Germany's high scorer on the floor. At Utah, Daria has been a 3-time All-American and competes all-around for the Utes.
Prior to Utah, Daria was a two-time German national all-around champion (2005-06). She won national titles on vault and floor at the 2005 German National Championships, and placed first on bars at the 2006 national meet. She placed eighth in the all-around at the 2005 World Championships in Melbourne, Australia. She trained at Turnteam Toyota Cologne for coach Shanna Poljakova.
