University of Utah Senior Beth Rizzo talks about how she's grown from being a freshman walk-on, starstruck by her Utah teammates, and shares her perspective on improving in gymnastics and her goals for her final season.
Beth is a member of the Utah team and competes vault and floor for the Utes. Initially Beth walked on to the team before being awarded a scholarship for her junior season. She became just the second Ute walk-on gymnast ever to make All-American and the only one to win first-team honors. Her best event is floor, and amazingly Beth has never fallen in college competition entering her junior year (25-25 for her career).
Before Utah, Beth trained at Buffalo Grove Gymnastics Center under Teri Crumley and Tony Toms.
