Sabrina is a member of the US Senior National Team. Sabrina turned elite in the summer of 2008 and qualified for the Junior team at her very first US Championships. She trains at Dynamic Gymnastics in New York and is coached by 1976 Olympic Silver Medalist Teodora Ungureanu-Cepoi from Romania (Bela Karolyi's former gymnast) & Sorin Cepoi, also a former Romanian Olympian.

Sabrina received international assignments in 2009 to Canada, France, Germany, and Brazil. She was a member of the gold medal winning team that competed in each of the countries. She also placed second in the all around at the Junior Pan American Championships and at the Junior International Gymnix. In 2010, she placed second on beam at the Pac Rim Championships. She won gold at the Pan American Championships for team and balance beam and placed second in the all around.

2011 was Sabrina's first year as a senior and she was selected to compete at the 2011 City of Jesolo Trophy where she placed 2nd on uneven bars, tied for 3rd on balance beam, tied for 1st on floor exercise and helped the US women win the team gold. At the 2011 CoverGirl Classic she placed 4th on vault, 7th on balance beam, 2nd on floor exercise and 3rd in the all around. At the 2011 Visa Championships, Sabrina placed 5th on balance beam, 4th on floor exercise and 5th in the all around. Sabrina was a member of the 2011 gold medal winning US Women's World Team which competed in Tokyo, Japan.

At the 2012 Secret Classic in May, Vega ended up in 4th and shined on floor exercise, tying for third on the event. Vega competed at the 2012 Visa Championships, finishing 7th in the all around and on floor exercise and 8th on beam. She also qualified to the Olympic Trials.
