Re: Don't be cruel! I don't think anyone said they didn't like Sloan (in her day she was good), we just want the USA to win, put their best effort into it and she is not it! Very selfish of her to jepardise the team for her own motives-she has to know she doesn't have what it takes. Shame on her! |

Just to correct myself... I believe Kytra could be top 3 on vault as well, but again, that is a strong event for the US and EVERY girl we are putting up already has a double twisting yurchenko, so it would be senseless to select her for vault. Bottom line is we were in desperate need of people who could do bars since China really can demolish us on that event. |

KYTRA CAN'T DO A GOOD BAR ROUTINE. I'm not sure why some of you don't understand that. You pick a team based on needs, and Kytra's two strongest events are also the US's strongest events. It's really not that hard to understand. Kytra is not top 3 on any event except MAYBE floor, whereas Sloan is arguably the second best bar worker we could put up there, which is our worst event and where we lose a ton of points to China, since it's their best event. |

Hunter would not have made any difference in the team score. NONE of her scores would have made a huge difference or been top 3 on any event except maybe vault. Raisman, Bross and Larson ALL scored higer than her on FX at Natioanls. The team would have potentially scored much higher with Shapiro on the team. She had the 3rd highest beam score at Nationals, and her FX was not that much lower than hunters. She would not be needed on VT and scores significantly higher on bars than Hunter. With or without Sloan in finals, the US has 3 girls that can go up on each event. Sloan most likely will only be used for UB in Finals anyways, or they can sub her with Davis (depending on her injury) or Larson. |

She is sooooo not in world shape. Kytra should be there in Sloans place. This is not right at all. Sloan better hit cause if she makes any mistakes and the US doesn't win it is all on her and Marta. Sloan is ruining her rep by being there. She should have saved herself the embarrasment and withdrawn from the 2nd selection camp. She is hurting the US team by not being consistant right now. I wouldn't be to happy if I was her teammate. |

She is clearly not in World Championship shape. I know she will deliver somewhat solid performances during qualification but I wish they had just sent another girl like Cassie, Jetter or Kytra. Bridget is not gaining experience from this and its only ruining her reputation, the former World Champion not even doing all around and im pretty sure she is not making any final. |
