UF got an awesome catch with this one. So glad everything's coming together for her. Hope she has an awesome senior year. In reply to "Congrats" I think she's made it thru 2 years of Marta's camps so I think if she wants to continue elite that wouldn't be a problem. Would love to see her and her sister at 2012. Congrats Mackenzie |

I thought both interviews were great! Sisters with different personalities for sure, both just lovely kids though. Macko is more mature, as she should be at 18. Bridgey still that kid at heart which I love. Good luck to both of you this year - hope you 2 rock the gymnastics world together. Can't wait to see you at Covergirl in Chicago this year. I will be bringing my whole team to support you. |

Love this girl, have watched her grow up in Illinois. So humble & a lot of fun to be around. Wish her the best at UF and hope she keeps her elite status and goes for 2010. It was a pleasure watching her last night. Awesome bar routine & floor was absolutely entertaining. Wished she had done her double on vault! Also, saw her give her medals away to the little girls sitting around her on the floor, what a class act! We all love you here in Illinois Macko - wishing you all the best this year! |

It's a shame that NCAA and elite gym are so different (even in the rewarding of skills). It's one thing if her maturing body makes it harder to compete elite, but it bugs me that even for an athlete who is not injured and/or has the body type to continue...that instead they are only rewarded for stick contests on watered down routines. and they lose the joy of learning new tricks. |
