Alexandra Raisman has been rock solid for Team USA at World Championships. She led her team to the Gold Medal just 2 nights ago, but a mistake on uneven bars tonight kept her off the medal podium. Raisman recovered extremely well with strong performances on beam and floor to finish 4th all around. Watch for Aly in the beam and floor finals!

I think she had a spectacular comeback on BB and FX, but her mistakes on bars were so major (all the extra swings and bad form breaks, at least 2.0, not even including her other form breaks and iffy handstands) she's a really tough girl for fighting, but it would have incurred less deductions for just a fall. So really, her bars scores were very generous. Yao had a fall, true, but her floor was quite spectacular too.
I like Aly well enough, her power and consistency are amazing, she's no dancer and that makes me dislike her FX a little (well, the COP doesn't care, all hail the COP!) But I really doubt she would get the chance to compete AA in Olympics, her bars are just too weak. Rebecca Bross, Gabby Douglas (with an Amanar), and maybe even Kyla Ross are better AAers. Wieber is definitely a lock unless she gets injured, but damn the likelihood of that happening is quite high.

The Chinese gymnast is named Yao Jinnan, and she had an excellent floor routine. Please learn about the sport before you run your mouth.

poor Aly, should have had 3rd. The china gymnast was scored to high on floor. You will get your medal at the olympics ALY!!! Just keep working hard and keep up the determination!!!!!!!!
