The best of the best are fighting to win the National Championships this weekend in in Los Angeles. Here's an inside look at the training day and the big skills that caught our eye.
Kytra was a member of the US National Team from 2009-2011. As a club gymnast, she trained at Hill's Gymnastics in Maryland under coach Kelli Hill. She is now a competitive gymnast at the University of Florida.
Kytra was named as alternate for the 2009 and 2010 World Championship teams. Kytra was a memeber of the 2009 US team for the European tour where she got to compete internationally for the US in both Germany and France. At the 2009 Visa Championships, Kytra placed third on floor, fourth in the all around and tied for eighth on balance beam. At the 2010 Visa Championships, she placed fourth in the all around, balance beam, and floor exercise standings.
During her freshman year at Florida, Kytra was the all around and vault NCAA champion! She became the first gator to win an NCAA all around title. The 2012-2013 season will be her sophomore season with the gators.
