I love the line when he says that he hired a certain coach to make sure he never has to ask the question could they have done more for the athletes that give so much dedication.... what a great observation on the coaches part and it's wonderful that they have the ability to give that to their athletes as a "reward" for their hard work... take them where they want to go... nice!

This week's gymnastics workout video features the level 10's and Elites at OHG, coached by Jeff Beal and Rachel Tidd-Scarborough. They have a young elite on the rise, Braie Speed. Braie qualified Junior International Elite this past season, competed in the US Classic, and has been invited to numerous National Team Camps and Developmental Camps at the Ranch. She will be one to watch as we head into 2012. Jeff also has a great group of level 10's in Daniella Fumagalli (blue leo), Sarah Lyons (light blue leo), and Heather Ellswick (white leo), and a pre-elite, Yasmine Herrera. Yas was the the Level 8 Region 3 Champion in all-around, vault, beam, and floor. This workout was filmed Friday, October 11 as the team hones in on upgrades and progresses towards half sets for the upcoming season.

Fantastic. Great job Jeff with your girls. They are fit, obviously well trained and ready to rock the gymnastics world... much success to your entire team in the upcoming season. Beautiful gymnastics... ;)
Yasmine looks like a good little gymnast!!!I was looking at the western results and saw she got first on Beam and 6th on vault. She is going to be a good elite!!!
I originally talked to Anne of Gymnastike at US Classics about interviewing and filming our Elite, Braie Speed, at some point. At the time Anne wasn't as familiar with our 10s. Once Anne came and spent a morning at our gym and saw that as well as having Braie we had some strong 10s, she chose to include them in her coverage, which we much appreciate. I feel that Gymnastike, more than most other web based gymnastics news sources not only covers Elite and NCAA, but includes many JO athletes and coaches. Our 10s were quite excited with the coverage they received.
I really liked what Jeff said "I just don't want to look back and to think we could have done more, to reach the goals of these athletes that really give us so much dedication" (even if someday it don't seem like it haha). That was really cool to hear. Thanks Jeff.
