Wish Van the best of luck, she is a great girl with a lot of potential. Wish she would leave the college gymnastics at college though-get a more USAG appropriate floor routine and settle the college antics a little (her coaches too, the lady especially, crazy actions). She could really take the National team by storm but doesn't seem to want to get serious and leave the college stuff behind. Too bad!
Who, besides Sac, is a better vault worker than Vanessa? Vanessa even has more scoring potential than Sac (higher DD at least).
i doubt she will make worlds! she is a great gymnast but lets be real college gym and usa team at the same time? more being on ucla that is such a hard school! and there are better vault workers than her!
Maybe the ND was for being off center perhaps? If Van can upgrade to a double twisting yurchenko and stick her cheng at both of the selection camps, she may very well make the team. There are no consistent bar workers for Marta to get high scores from other than Bross, so Marta should really stack her team with what she has, and that is strong vaulters.
The math works out that if she can hit the cheng 50% of the time (which she did here) that she should make the World's team. I think she has the ticket to get on the team.
what were the neutral deductions though??
