Bridgeport junior Monica Mesalles Sallares of Barcelona, Spain won the all-around at UNH breaking her own school record total with a score of 39.450 in the four events. Her performance also helped Bridgeport shatter their program's team total record with a very respectable 196.350.

Monica is a member of the University of Bridgeport Gymnastics team. She is a former national team member of Spain and represented Spain in the 2004 Olympics. She left the sport in 2005, but made a comeback in 2009 to compete college gymnastics for Bridgeport.
