The Olympic Trials are here and Defending World Vault Champion McKayla Maroney is back in the mix! Maroney's status was unkown after suffering a minor concussion and nasal fracture at the Visa Championships, but she showed up in San Jose looking fitter than ever. She has been cleared to compete all four events and powered through a strong floor routine in today's podium training.

I really enjoy watching this routine. It flows, has great energy, and is very mature. I think it has a very international look. It's a performance (not just some dance moves and some tumbling). I think Terin likes this routine because to me, it reminds me of Terin's dance. |

I agree...she always looks like shes going to go out of bounds in the double tuck...I wonder if it would be easier for her to do a triple full, like the pass that Bridget Sloan, Jordyn and Gabby do...its so easy for her to do that 3 1/2 triple! hehe :) |

She looks great! I just think if she just hurdled into that one and a half into double back she wouldn't be so close to the corner. Aly Raisman and Jordyn Weiber simply hurdle into that 1.5 combination pass. Maybe she needs to run into it to get more power. I am just always worried that she is going to go out of bounds on that pass. At this point she can't really change any techique so lets just root for her and team USA! |

How does she keep that double back in bounds?! 3.5 is wonderful... definitely rooting for her! |
