This week's gymnastics workout video features Team Australia. Gymnastike takes you inside their training session in Tokyo, just 24 hours before the 2011 World Championships Team Final.

Team standout, Lauren Mitchell, placed 8th in the All Around and 5th on Floor Exercise even though she had injured both ankles about two weeks before the competition. Lauren won the very first World gold medal for Australia in 2010 on the Floor Exercise. Emily Little also qualified for the All Around final.

The Australian Team includes: Ashleigh Brennan, Georgia Rose Brown, Emily Little, Larissa Miller, Lauren Mitchell, Mary Anne Monckton, and alternate Nikola Chung. Head Coach is Peggy Liddick.

Lauren Mitchell is a 2008 and 2012 Olympian representing Australia. In 2010, she became her country's first World Champion, winning gold on floor exercise in Rotterdam.

A standout performer for Australia with world class routines on beam and floor, Mitchell aims to earn an Olympic medal in London on one of her strongest events. Mitchell's floor exercise starts from a competitive 6.3, and she mounts with an impressive whip immediate double arabian to stag leap.

On balance beam, she is capable of a 6.5 routine, and her score of 15.7 is one of the highest of the year on beam.

At the 2009 World Championships, Lauren won two silver medals on beam and floor, becoming only the second Australian woman to earn a World Championship medal.

More recently, she pitched in four routines at the 2011 Worlds in Tokyo to help the Aussies finish eighth. She also made the all-around and floor exercise finals, where she finished 8th and 5th, respectively.

At the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, Mitchell helped the Australian women to a sixth-place result, competing in team finals on three events: vault, beam and floor.

Prior to Beijing, Mitchell was a standout for her country at the 2007 World Championships, qualifying to the beam final, where she finished fifth.

In London, the Australian women will rely on Mitchell for leadership and results.
