Beth Tweddle is a three-time Olympian for Great Britain, and she heads into London as a gold medal favorite on the uneven bars.
Beth has competed at the 2004 and 2008 Olympics, but she has yet to win an Olympic medal of any color. In 2012, her best chances to achieve this goal in front of a home crowd come on bars and floor exercise. In Beijing, Tweddle just missed the uneven bars podium, finishing in fourth.
Beth has a difficulty score on bars of 7.0, which is one of the highest in the world, and she has scored as high as 15.95 so far in 2012 on the event. She is capable of a number of original and difficult combinations on bars, including a Toe-on Tkatchev 1/2 to immediate Yezhova transition, and a Khorkina-Gienger release combo.
Beth is a 3-time World Champion (Bars- 2006, 2010; Floor- 2009), 6-time European Champion and 7-time British Champion. She was the British Senior All Around Champion from 2001-2007. She has won the bars title at the past three European Championships.
Beth was a member of the 2011 British Women's World Team which placed 5th and she qualified to the floor exercise final, placing seventh. She won bronze medals on bars at the 2003 and 2005 World Championships.
