In the final event on the final night of competition in Rotterdam at the 2010 World Championships, the Dutch fans piled in to the Ahoy Arena to watch The Flying Dutchman, Epke Zonderland, attempt to win a gold medal on high bar. This set had at least 2 upgrades from the routine he showed in the qualification rounds, he was the only guy in the final to connect 2 kovacs skills and he even stuck the dismount. This was by far the loudest the crowd got all week in Rotterdam and it was truly a memorable moment. He held the lead until the final competitor up, Zhang Chenglong on China, hit a set with slightly more difficulty and captured the gold medal much to the dismay of the Dutch fans.
