The best of the best are fighting to win the National Championships this weekend in in Los Angeles. Here's an inside look at the training day and the big skills that caught our eye.
Shayla is a member of the University of Georgia gymnastics team. Before college, she trained at Orlando Metro gymnastics and was one of the top American elite gymnasts. She was a member of the 2007 USA World Championships team that won the gold medal. She was in the running for the 2008 USA Olympic team, but an untimely injury at the final selection camp left her off the team. The following year she went on to the University of Georgia on a full gymnastics scholarship. Shayla is an Academic All-American for the Gym Dogs.
