The first medal event of the 43rd Artistic Gymnastics World Championships, featuring the eight best women's teams in the world, bedazzled spectators at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium. I congratulate the US team but please, acknowledge that they won because they are extra powerful, not at all artistic. And they are very consistent and handle pressure very well. They are exciting to watch in vault. The rest is not nice to watch, at least to me, unless you are cheering for them. I also congratulate Wieber for her all around gold. But all girls who do gymnastics at this level should be admired.

This team deserved to win, they hit 20 for 20 in qualifications, and 12 for 12 in finals. They had ZERO major mistakes, they deserved this. And artistry can be interpreted in many different ways, by the way. Go USA!

This vid is made up of clips from Team finals and it looks like the same coverage as the Universal Sports feed. In that feed, they showed 10 of 12 USA routines - the two missed were Douglas and Vega on bars. (Vega's beam is on their site labeled as bars, but it's beam.)

So no Douglas in the vids. :( Well, not performing - she's with the team obviously.

I am so happy for Team USA, but very disappointed that the video does not include all the girls - where is Gabrielle Douglass? I beleive the she had the third highest qualifying score behind Jordyn and Aly.
