She is just what team USA needs! She obviously loves the sport and competing and wants it to be fun for the fans, that is something we don't get with the "older" girls. How refreshing, and she is totally fun to watch (and amazing too). She was not being arrogant, she was excited and wants the fans to be excited, as we should be! I am on her team for sure-she will be fun and exciting to watch, those release moves are amazing, never seen anything like it! Go Gabby!! |

She sounds like a young girl to me. Very cute. It's nice when you can still hear the gymnast's personality -- before they get so trained and "professional" in their public speaking that all they say is "I just want to hit 4 for 4, and do my best for team USA." (Though with all the critics out there, I can see why they eventually go that bland route...) |

Arrogant my BUTT! There is a blog out there (which I won't mention the name because it's a nest of vipers!) that spends a inordinate amount of time BASHING this little girl! Hating everything she does, saying if she makes the Oly team, she will kill herself! Hating her mother, calling her a crack whore, They also hate Dominique Dawes. Who could hate Dominique Dawes??? So, she does have haters out there (as insignificant as they are), so good for you for Gabby for saying "If you don't root for me you're going to miss out." You don't have to like her, but you don't have to bash her either! |

She doesn't sound even the slightest bit arrogant. You can tell that she is a sweet, well brought up girl, trying to show confidence, and trying to live out her dream. She is getting much better at interviewing. But, she is still slightly nervous in the interview situation, and therefore has some trouble articulating. She is only a kid, and she should think highly of herself. As should all of these world-class gymnasts. Thinking highly of yourself does not imply that you are arrogant. There is a clear line between self-confidence and arrogance, and in no way does she does not cross over to the arrogance side of that line. |

She is a great speaker, I love her confidence! I have high hopes for her, she will shine at the Olympics! |
