For Seniors: they had to score a 54 all-around, or a 43.5 if they competed 3 events, or a 30 if they competed 2 events to qualify.
Juniors could also have achieved this score at a National Team Training Camp or an International Assignment.
Seniors were already qualified if they were on the 2008 Olympic Training Squad or if they achieved the score at a National Team Training Camp or an International Assignment.
