+ See More - See Less - Coach Kindler is in her 3rd season as the head coach of the University of Oklahoma women's team. Last year (2008), Kindler led the Sooners to an 8th place finish at NCAA's, their highest finish in school history.
Before coming to OU, Kindler competed for Iowa State University, where she basically pioneered the success of ISU gymnastics. She was the first ISU gymnast to qualify for Regionals in program history, and she managed to qualify 3 out of her 4 years. She was also '92 Big 8 AA runner-up.
After graduation, Kindler joined the coaching staff as an assistant coach and the ISU program continued to grow from there. She took over as head coach in 2001, and in '05 she led ISU to their first team appearance at NCAA's, then in 2006 her ISU team made the Super Six.
